Jumping in! My first real market

topic posted Fri, January 25, 2008 - 8:35 AM by  Sierra
So today I will spend nervous and excited and a bit obsessive and than back to being nervous.... Tomorrow will be the first time I have ever actually shown and attempted to sell my lot of creative clothing, accessories and t-shirts.

Butterflies are either flying around in my stomach or have built a Mad Max Thunderdom and going at each other - haven't figured out which. :P

A friend of mine sent me the remaining stuff I left behind and I should get it later today (gawd I hope so). It has all the warm and pretty leg warmers, spats, skirts and I believe some dresses. Plus I have a small quantity of faux fur bras and skirts and a bundle of reconstructed clothing. So if you are in the Austin, TX area and you have some free time tomorrow (Saturday Jan 26th) come by and say hello to a Austin newbie. I'll be there from 9 am to 1 pm.

I broken even... Made what I spent on the fee. Not bad -- I went in with the outlook that I was there to introduce myself and thats it. YEA I did it :)

I've been told to get into First Thursday (Congress / Mary area) and than I'll be back at the market the 2nd Sat of Feb. with kids clothing. I had a lot of little kids who loved the colors and materials.
