Re: Need a machinist or a weldor?
Mon, January 14, 2008 - 7:52 PMThanks for your post, Steamboat Ed. Nice work on the mutant vehicle! I'll definitely keep you in mind as we make our plans for 2008. I also have a mutant vehicle that may need some welding someday, some way (pictures are in my profile). In 2007 I was in dire need of a welder in the late afternoon of burn night to repair a wheel problem. It was one time playa-dipity didn't work out for me. I couldn't find anybody ready, willing and able to tackle the problem. I'm sure there was someone, I just couldn't find him/her in time. Ah well. Fun ensued anway!
Have fun with your projects for 2008!

Thu, January 17, 2008 - 8:36 PMHi Scott; interesting mutant you got there. Yeah I think I'll try and bring my welder to the Playa this yr. Just gotta figure out where to plug it in! :-) -

Fri, January 18, 2008 - 11:32 AMThanks, Steamboat! I can see the headlines now: "Heroic Welder Saves The Day For Brokedown Burners".
I know you've worked on lot of mutants. Do you have one you call your own these days? -

Re: Need a machinist or a weldor?
Wed, January 23, 2008 - 10:43 PMYeah, well Short John Silver is mine, but I'm looking forward to something with more carrying capacity, possibly a "sternwheeler" based on an old Geo Metro or some such, heh.
