Hey there Burners, Zairian here.
I worked for that big party for several years, and also went to school for chemistry. Though I did not go this year, I thought I might still be able to participate by putting my brain to work for you. Living in Gerlach I played with some recipes and came up with a laundry soap that gets all the playa out the first time. It works by balancing both the charge and pH of the playa in your clothes back to zero, then attaching to it and washing out like regular soap. Difference being, regular soap isn't strong enough to get it all the first time, right?
I can offer this soap to you for substantially less than you'd pay for anything at the store. And I also refill old containers to keep them out of the landfill for that much longer. I live in Seattle, though I can ship a dry mix from one load to a 6-month supply anywhere very easily, with instructions to reconstitute.
I would love to hook you up with a headache saver, so drop me a line if you need.
